Do you ever wonder what happened to your first true crush? Did they become a doctor? Do they look the same? Do they think of you from time to time when the wind is right? Bernard, the nerd hero of the game Maniac Mansion. He was smart, young, and stereotypically nerdy. Sweet sweet Bernard. I totally crushed out on him. You remember Maniac Mansion, right? Adventure game for NES/PC? - Made into a TV show on the Family Channel? FIFTEEN years ago I got the game for my birthday and played it until my eyes were red and puberty was over. I loved that game so much and miss it equally. I plead with anyone who has any clout in the gaming world to either remake it, or make a sequel/ prequel. If you don’t want to remake the Mansion, remake Day of the Tentacle, or Zak McCracken and the Alien Mindbenders. I don’t care, just make something like it. Make something SORT of like it. Make a game that is slightly similar. Please. I beg. When you do, let me know. Until then, I shall walk outside on midsummer evenings and hear the wind whisper Bernard’s name and remember his bravery Battling Dr. Fred and the Meteor. Kim, did you ever play Sam & Max? It’s my favorite of those old LucasArts graphic adventures. None of them sucked, but I definitely preferred the ones that came out after the advent of CD-Rom, since LA tended to hire top voice talent for their games.

sparklepony, I have excellent news for you!
First, the PC version of Maniac Mansion was remaked in a 256-color version with MIDI and effect sounds, named Maniac Mansion Deluxe. It was released in 2004, is plenty of language versions, and you could find on the net with quite ease.
And there are stories from a group of German programmers who did more than seventy fan ag-games around mm universe.
