Remember how I wrote about how we should all be patient with release dates? I do too. It went something like “we should all be patient with release dates.” Nintendo has pushed patience to new extremes. Remember Super Mario 128? Announced back when we all thought the Nintendo GameCube would be called the Dolphin? That was back in 2000 and there is no Super Mario 128 to be seen. Oh, but now it will be on the Nintendo Revolution? I call bullshit on that, good sirs. And then there is Metroid Prime Hunters. The demo came with your DS. It was packaged with it! “I’m a fun game,” it told me. “I will be coming out soon,” it whispered in my ever waiting ears. But, alas, all dreams are smashed by press releases written by spin doctors.
Their patience has paid off? Next year? How has my patience paid off? You launched the DS in November of 2004 bundled with a demo for this game that is now pushed off until 2006. Where is the payoff? Yes, I want a good game. But don’t tease me! Just cut the crap, and make a game. I know you don’t have monkeys working on computers making your games. You might have them writing your press releases, but not your games. So get cracking, and quit with all the over promises. I wonder if the Revolution controller will be released after the Revolution is. Filed under: A 47 Danger and GameCube and Nintendo DS and Rant and Wii Comments:
