Let’s take a look at why these game store employees should get a clue. What does this press release have to say?
An army of zombie followers? If that doesn’t sound cool, then you are stupid. Put down that beer and pick up a book. But carefully pick up a book. You might hurt yourself, rummy.
After seeing a making of feature on The Addams Family movie, I spent a bit of time pretending my hand was Thing. Which it wasn’t. My hand is a poor actor. Thank you, video games, for letting me live out my fantasy.
Another fantastic game play mechanic. I’m hoping for a couple of City of Lost Children moments, where the horrified compatriot sees their own demise. But I’ll be satisfied with possession. The rest of the little game play features look a little average. Fun, but average. Gut grenades and head bombs and the like. That’s okay. The entire game probably can’t be all super crazy. Oh, and one more line of information.
Yes yes yes. More games need co-op. Co-op is a sorely missed feature in oh so many games. All other games, take note. It’s two syllables, not to large. Co-op. Bring it on. The game should be out whenever GameStop gets off of their asses. Until then, iTunes has the wonderful soundtrack. Now go, my zombie armies. Purchase. Purchase. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the tracks that are currently playing on my iPod as I type away.
This is what a game soundtrack should be. Stubbs the Zombie could easily have licensed a bunch of old 50s. But instead, Stubbs gets artists such as Cake and The Flaming Lips to cover these old songs! I want to cry. Buy the game. Buy the soundtrack. Give Stubbs a big sloppy kiss on the mouth. Huzzah for effort in video game production! Filed under: A 47 Danger and General and Xbox Comments: None |

It goes without saying that I am most excited about the song by Rock as it’s supposed to be a cover of the classic Simon and Garfunkle song, only without articles. Filed under: ClackyJ and General Comments: 2 Comments |

What is all this fuss about The Warriors and why should I be excited about it? Here’s what I understand. Mind you I will be going from my memory, which is coming apart like a 5 year old pair of underpants. But I thought it’d be more fun to state an opinion based on what I think I know. From the way I play, if you will. Get it? Huh? Yeah. It’s the site name! The Warriors is based on a movie. A movie I never saw. Right there, I don’t care. Maybe the movie is good. Maybe it sucks. Don’t ask me. I don’t care. On to the game. It’s about gangs. In New York. There will be missions. There will also be very violent fighting. Each gang will have their own unique costumes. It’s from Rockstar. Am I missing something? Is there something in there that should make me care? Is there something not in there that should make me care? How does this get The Warriors a cover story on GameInformer or Electronic Gaming Monthly or whatever? I do not care about this game. I don’t care about the hype and I don’t care to buy it. Am I being ignorant? I’m slightly more informed than the casual gamer. Doesn’t that send up alarms of some sort? Shouldn’t there be lots of other people out there that feel this way? Am I alone on an island with only a volleyball as a friend? I’m willing to bet there are more people stranded out here with me. Future date: November 14th, 2005 The Sony PSP was found dead this morning in a dark ally. The game system was reportedly shot, stabbed, and crushed to death. Dead pixels were no longer a concern for this system as it passed into the eternal void. One suspect is being questioned. The Nintendo DS was taken into police custody shortly before press time. Police report that the Nintendo DS has no alibi for this morning, and is their prime suspect. A longtime rival of the Sony PSP, the Nintendo DS became the first handheld system to play games online against other players. Thist swift and emotionless action could have literally killed the Sony PSP, squeezing the last breath of air from it’s young body. The Sony PSP is survived by it’s wife, PS2. PS2 is expecting their first child, named PS3, early next year. Services for the Sony PSP will be held on November 19th. Please send flowers and regards to Sony Corporate Headquarters. GameStop has made me sad today. When asking about Stubbs the Zombie, I was met with blank looks. Perhaps these dense employees have had their brains eaten. It certainly seems possible.
