What can I possibly say about American Chopper 2: Full Throttle for the GameCube that can’t be said with the picture above? Why don’t you tell me? Post your best caption in the comments section. It’s a Monday. Let us laugh together and share in our mirth. And one up everyone else too. Filed under: A 47 Danger and GameCube and Humor and Rant Comments: 3 Comments |

That was certainly a long weekend to be without a purchased Xbox 360 unit. The turkey and wine certainly helped pass the time. Leftovers will also help heal the pain of absence. The point remains that I do not have my Xbox 360 yet. My spirits were raised this weekend when I called my local GameStop for a status check. First off, they were really on the ball. There have been reports that some stores have no idea when more Xbox 360 shipments will come in. This GameStop was well aware that Microsoft would be shipping out more Xbox 360s on a weekly basis. They said it might be 2 consoles per shipment, it might be 10. They weren’t sure. I can accept that. Secondly, it seems they received more Xbox 360s than expected in their initiral shipment. Which means I’ve moved up from 35th on the second shipment list to 19th on the second shipment list. That’s not so bad at all. Third, if I was really desperate, the GameStop did have a Core system in stock. It was available for anyone to walk in and purchase. The Xbox 360 is available, boys and girls. Don’t buy it on eBay. That would be stupid. Go out there and do a little digging. You might be surprised. I’ll keep waiting though. And keeping you updated on my waiting. How interesting. It’s day two without my preordered Xbox 360. The status of my feelings and emotions are as follows. I’m a bit miffed. With the long Thanksgiving weekend ahead, it would have been fantastic to spend some quality time getting to know the Xbox 360. You know. Wine it. Dine it. Make a pass at it. See what happens. It looks like that dream is not meant to be. Perhaps, instead, I will read a book this weekend instead. Or build a model plane. That could be a lot of fun. No, no it would not be. I want what I paid for. Microsoft! GameStop! I’m shaking my fists at you! My fingers are still crossed that the magical GameStop notification robot will call me, saying they’re getting a new shipment in Friday. Come on, robots. Don’t let me down like so many times before. Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots my ass. Filed under: A 47 Danger and Rant and Xbox 360 Comments: None |

The facts are as follows. The Xbox 360 was released today. I preordered the Xbox 360 from GameStop a few months back. GameStop does not have an Xbox 360 for me. I will be keeping track of how this Xbox 360 absence makes my heart feel on a day by day basis, until I have this object in my mitts. Let’s get to it already. This is day 1 of no Xbox 360 having. So far so good. I haven’t got the shakes. I’m not listening to sad songs on my iPod. Not on purpose, anyway. Lifter Puller isn’t really a window into happy dancing rainbows, I guess. Maybe I’m listening to them for a subliminal angry reason. Last night, Minnesotans did what they do best. They lined up in front of Best Buys all across the state and sat around in the cold. We Minnesotans really do like talking about how cold it is, and what we did in the terrible cold. I’m not saying it’s smart. It’s just a thing. So the crazy children of Minnesota will have stories to tell about the time they camped out and got frostbite while waiting for the Xbox 360. Their children’s children would be impressed, if they hadn’t gone sterile from the cold. I guess what I’m trying to say is, I feel better for not staying in the cold. I’m okay with not having a Xbox 360 right now. That feeling is bound to change this afternoon. But the warm and toasty feeling of being warm and toasty has kept the Xbox 360 blues at bay. For now.
