A few GameStops in Texas filled some preorders yesterday. Just enough delivery news to give me hope, however false that hope may be. 10 units in Texas does not 17 units in Minnesota make. Why didn’t I order earlier? Why did everyone else order so early?

As gamers, we are supposed to be lazy. What happened? Did I miss a memo? I’ve been keeping the lazy faith, quiet and proud. Some gamers just have to go and ruin our reputation. Sitting in the cold and rain to get an Xbox 360? Yeah, it does involve a lot of sitting. But there is a bunch of effort in there too.

Perhaps once the Xbox 360 is readily available, a new renaissance in laziness will arise. At least, I hope it does.

Doing stuff is a pain.
