Panasonic TC26LX70 Television

Posted in TV  by admin on March 10th, 2010

Panasonic TC26LX70 Television
The wide viewing angle provided by the In Plane Switching (IPS) LCD panel lets you enjoy an extraordinary picture from the left, right, above or below. Colors are clear and vivid even when the screen is viewed from an angle. This LCD TV features an extremely wide viewing angle of 178?, so whether you’re right in front of the TV or sitting off to the side, you’ll still get great image quality. With Panasonic, it’s easy for everyone in the room to enjoy the show.

This widescreen TV features a width-to-height ratio similar to movie theater screens, providing a theater-like experience at home. View HDTV broadcasts and widescreen DVDs the way they were meant to be seen.

HDTV broadcasts and DVDs offer more detail and better color than analog broadcasts, and it takes a high-resolution display to deliver all that picture information. The high pixel count of this LCD TV provides fine detail for outstanding HDTV reproduction. More pixels also translate into less stair-stepping artifacts; curved and diagonal edges look smooth and natural.

With EZ Sync HDAVI Control, watching a movie is as easy as pressing a single button. One touch of the remote control turns on the TV and your EZ Sync-compatible components instantly and automatically. All you have to do is sit back and watch. Once you experience this kind of convenience, you’ll never want to go back to yesterday’s technology.

If you have even a moderately complicated home theater setup, you probably have a pile of tangled cables on the floor behind it. Imagine replacing all those cables with a single cable that carries both digital video and audio at the same time. With the HDMI standard, that’s exactly what you get. The HDMI connector on this TV accepts high-quality digital video and audio via the same thin cable, allowing you to run one cable from the source to the TV.

When will TV stations start broadcasting only in High Definition?

Posted in TV  by admin on March 7th, 2010

Currently TV stations are sending out analog and digital signals. All old analog signals will be shut off on June 12,2009.After the digital transition will TV stations be switching over to high definition? Digital transition and High definition are two different things. Please don’t get the two confused with one another.I know all about the digital transition.I want to know about the TV stations broadcasting only in high definition.

The only mandate was to start transmitting in digital. There’s no requirement to transmit in HD and I haven’t heard of anything planned along these lines. The FCC needed an excuse to clear some frequencies from the TV allocation so they could be used for other purposed such as public safety. The switch to digital did this. Certainly the digital signal looks much better than the old analog and that’s after I use a converter box to change it back to analog for my older TV.

TV show CSI popularized forensics. How accurate is that show compared to real life forensics work?

Posted in TV  by admin on March 4th, 2010

Since, they are not always accurate…what are the differences? How do real forensic scientists work compared to the ones on TV? How accurate do you think other popular representations of health care are in books, Movies or TV shows?

Terribly inaccurate.

On my last Jury Duty the DA made that VERY CLEAR.
More than half of the "test" they use don’t exist, and of the others some take literally MONTHS to get the results back.

Also, in the crime lab, They all specialize. If You work the lab, You NEVER GO INTO THE FIELD. There is a group that collects, bunches of groups that test, some tests get sent out to specialty labs, and CSI’s NEVER DO INTERVIEWS, LEAD investigations, figure out what the results MEAN to an investigation, or get anywhere NEAR an arrest event.

Oh yeah! Almost forgot, apparently most of the lab guys and girls aren’t NEARLY as good looking as the folks on CSI…

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the show! It’s GREAT! Just not very realistic…
