What characterizes a dry sense of humor? How does sarcastic humor work?
Posted in Humor by admin on March 25th, 2010
Obviously sarcastic humor uses sarcasm, but can someone provide me with examples of that? And what makes a sense of humor dry?
Sarcasm:
I see you’ve set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
If I throw a stick, will you leave?
For more examples, see the link.
A dry sense of humour is one that understates the joke, leaving it to the listener to see the funny side.
Hope that helps!

I think a person with a dry sense of humor is the type to say something really funny and not laugh because they don’t even know they are funny but just serious. Except, to other people it’s funny.

Sure, it’s all fun and games till someone gets hurt. Then it’s hilarious!
