Green Lantern Trailer

This is my vision for a Green Lantern movie with Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan. He won’t be Hal for real, but all the more reason for a fan trailer!

For the record, I did this purely for fun, with NO intention of “fooling” anyone or covering the fact that I used clips from other Movies.
The whole point of it for me was to imagine what it would be like to see a great Green Lantern movie.

I used Adobe After Effects and Photoshop to manipulate the original clips, and used Final Cut Pro to edit it all together.

Today Variety …
Today Variety reports Sony serves as the lead f/x studio on Green Lantern. The overall effects supervisors are still Karen Goulekas & Kent Houston. The film will have over 1,300 visual effects, which is a heck of a lot and isn’t going to be cheap. Looks like GL is completely on-track for the film’s planned shooting in March. It’s just one of many comic adaptations in the works, w/ others including Thor, Captain America & of course, The Avengers, all of which are coming out in a couple of years.

WTF? The original Lantern was White. Also, the there is more then one Lantern. There is a whole Army of them. Yes, there is a Black Lantern assigned to Earth but the first original one was White. (not that skin color actually matters in terms of liking the character)

2 weeks ago we found out from Martin Campbell that Mark Strong was in talks to play Sinestro. He also revealed that we’ll be seeing some of the stranger Green Lanterns as well including Kilowog, Tomar-Re & Abin Sur. Heres the segment of the interview:
“Well, Kilowog will be… Tomar-Re is in it. Sinestro’s in it. Abin Sur is in it. All the origin people. Carol Ferris, who is played by Blake Lively. All main characters are there & it’s a complex story, which makes it a challenge to get right.”
