I have had this for over a year and we love it. XBOX, Wii, HD cable tv, Blu-ray player... all look great on it. Of course, if the room is real bright the picture will be less vibrant, but most tvs do that to some extent.
Pro : Picture is great, easy to setup
Con : I have trouble with HD cable sound. i think it's the provider

We have had our Sharp LC52D64U for over a year and a half. Its the best I have ever seen. It worked out of the box. The guys at Best Buy did the set up and I have not tuched it sence. Our system is hooked up to DriectTV, soround sound system, and high dif DVD with HDMI cables and Opticals sound cable. I must say I have and will compared this picture and sound to any on the market - It just looks and sounds better.
Pro : Best Picture I have ever seen
Con : None so far

I've only had the tv for 5 months, but I've had no problems other than getting the kids to turn it off and go to bed. Right after I ordered this tv I went out and bought a mega joule circuit protector. It was on sale at one of the office supply stores for half price($40.00). The fluctuations in household current can damage these sensitive electronics, so this is necessary. Your not thinking clearly if you just plug this into an outlet like you old tv. I also found a Toshiba ($91.00) upconvert dvd player and the standard dvd's look almost as good as blue ray. The 120 mhz motion enhancer really keeps the picture sharp. It's got a much better picture than Sony, Panasonic, etc.
Pro : picture excellent
Con : none so far

I`ve had this TV for 2 months and I`ve had no regrets at all. I was looking to upgrade for a 42" projection TV to a flat screen LCD. I shopped around compairing TV`s and came across this one and fell in love with it from the get go and the price sold me. Now all my family and friends come over for all the NFL & NBA games...oh well there`s always a draw back in eveything...LOL.
Pro : Look,Style and Picture
Con : Speakers are on side of TV instead of the front

Do not buy this SHARP TV (or other Sharp TVs) for the following reason:

The quality of the parts used and/or craftsmanship of the TV is not good. After a year or so every time I turn on the TV the screen stays black. I have to cut the TV on/off many times for it to finally return a picture. Sometimes I have to totally unplug it before a picture is returned. If you research this issue on google it seems to happen a lot. I contacted customer service who informed me since my one year warranty is up they can do nothing for me even though it seems to be a widespread manufacturing issue.
Pro : Easy to use with decent picture/sound quality
Con : TV quality is questionable...Screen goes black when turned on

After only 3 months (YEA I said 3 Months) of use the television began to fade to black when powered on. 1 month later the television would not power on. It has been an even worst nightmare dealing with their customer service. My 37 inch Vizio on the other hand is awesome!!! It just makes me sad that I shelled out $2100 For a well known television and my $700 NO Name Vizio out lived it!
Pro : Easy to use and it looks great
Con : Crapped out after 3 months....
