P.P.S. The operating system is not google, it’s Android which is open source. “”Google” refers to the “Google experince” (maps, youtibe, gmail, browser, etc).
Anything else on the phone is yours to do what you like with.

Also surprised that the Gadget Show, ie, the 1 hour iPhone advert (it does talk a lot about the iPhone) managed to squeeze it a review of Android.

I’m surprised how many comments i’ve seen from people trading their iPhone and 3g’s for a G1
G1 is the original Android. There are newer and better looking Android phones running the latest Android build (2.1 I think) but people love the G1.
I have to say I love mine. I use it more than my laptop.
Although be warned, it works the phone hard and the battery goes so quickley. If you use it constantly (surfing, gaming, etc) you can kill the battery in about 2 hours
